MY DEFINITION OF UNEMPLOYMENT.

In almost every country,  people are always complaining about unemployment. So this got me thinking, what is unemployment ? What does it really mean , and this made me check out the definition of the word in my dictionary. The term unemployment refers to a state in which an individual actively seeks employment but is unsuccessful.

So according to my dictionary, unemployment is means many things and I would like to differ slightly from it's definition. To me, I think the word really means many things that people really don’t pay attention. Unemployment changes everything from normal to worse.

The first thing you realize after losing your job is that you will be side-lined by your friends and family members. This because you no longer have nothing to offer. It’s the fruitful tree that attracts stones. Last week I was talking to one of my friend who used to work at the county government of Kisii but for some reason got fired.

This guy told me what he faced after losing his job. The friends that he thought were true to him refused to pick his calls or reply to his messages. His favourite brother was even ashamed of taking a walk with him. The enthusiasm that his sisters showed him when he was working vanished and was replaced with disgust.

Going out was now out of question as he did not have anything to pay some small bills. His friends were even reluctant to invite him to any bash. This is because they thought he will be a burden to them.

Secondly, unemployment means that your phone will no longer be busy as it used to be. Those that used to call you asking for favours will shift to other targets. You wont be getting messages from friends as they assume that you have nothing to offer.

Love becomes a luxury. No job no love as nowadays For you to sustain any relationship you must have money. The only way to get legit money is through employment. People always ask why youths have refused to get married. The answer is unemployment. How do you expect them to sustain their family ?

Depression surely follows as you start seeing yourself as a failure. This is attributed to pressure from peers who seem to be doing okay especially on social media pages. This makes you not to outside and meet people as you will be judged harshly.

So to me , this is the meaning of unemployment. Family will turn against you, you will be depressed, friends will sideline you, your phone will no longer beep as it used to and finding love will become a  problem. You will find yourself annoying.

 WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF GEN ZS. Yesterday's protests sent out warnings to the tribal kingpins who have been using tribes as a way to lead that come 2027 things will be different. And today was also  the same in Mombasa.  Let's wait for tomorrow where the ''finals'' will be held in Kisumu.  WHY ODM IS JOINING RUTO TO SURVIVE. First, ODM was a national party, with 8 tribal representatives from 8 now scrapped provinces. At coast, it was Najib Balala, now coast is gone, it doesn't belong to ODM. In central, it was Joseph Nyaga, central nologer thinks ODM. In Eastern, it was Charity Ngilu.
