WE NEED YOUNG CROP OF LEADERS IN ODM.


The nomination of Hassan Joho, John Mbadi, Wycliffe Oparanya and Opiyo Wandayi into the cabinet might be a blessing to some of the vibrant members of the ODM party who will be looking to fill in the positions left behind by them .


The position of Minority Leader in the National Assembly that was held by Ugunja Mp Opiyo Wandayi will be very lucrative to someone likes Millie Odhiambo who has shown her prowess in debates. Even Honourable Mishi Mboko has the ability to fill in the vacancy they will be left by Wandayi.


Where the problem lies is who is going to fill in the gap left behind by John Mbadi ?

I said this because ODM has always and will always be a Luo party affair and those planning to hold this office will  surely be drawn from the region. Junet Mohammed is likely to take over from Mbadi as he has always been loyal to Raila and ODM .

If the party opts to promote youthful prospects, the Moses Kajwang should be in the mix as he has never put his foot wrong since succeeding his late brother Otieno Kajwang as the senator for Homa Bay.

Where the biggest challenge lies in is the replacement of Joho and Oparanya who having been acting as Deputy Party Leaders.


Here ,there will be need to consider regional balance to satisfy all the party members.

Babu Owino has to be the Deputy Party Leader of ODM if the party wants to remain relevance even after the 2027 General Elections.

Babu Owino has the masses and he is a great mobilizer just like Raila, who is in touch with the people on the ground.

His relevance to the youths has earned him a considerable number of followers. 


Another' option is to have the Secretary General Edwin Sifuna filling in as the Deputy Party Leader and resign from being the Sec Gen. We need a youthful ODM . 


In the coming weeks, we might see serious activities in the party as the party has ambitious leaders like Caleb Amisi, Ledama Ole Kina and even Kisii Governor Simba Arati. 


I even want to see Raila Odinga stepping down as the Party Leader and allow in fresh crop of leaders to try and try to revert the party to it's past glory.

 WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF GEN ZS. Yesterday's protests sent out warnings to the tribal kingpins who have been using tribes as a way to lead that come 2027 things will be different. And today was also  the same in Mombasa.  Let's wait for tomorrow where the ''finals'' will be held in Kisumu.  WHY ODM IS JOINING RUTO TO SURVIVE. First, ODM was a national party, with 8 tribal representatives from 8 now scrapped provinces. At coast, it was Najib Balala, now coast is gone, it doesn't belong to ODM. In central, it was Joseph Nyaga, central nologer thinks ODM. In Eastern, it was Charity Ngilu.
