RAILA THE "MECHANIC" What do you do when your car breaks down in the middle of the journey ? You find a good mechanic to fix and service it again for a smooth trip.  There are people who have expertise in repairs of various problems and most of the time we call them "engineers".  In Kenyan politics, we have the Mr Fixer who is called upon each time the government has a problem and needs to be fixed. This Mr Fixer is alleged to be an an engineer from a German school. The Fixer is Raila Odinga. He has been applying his knowledge obtained from school to fix a different kind of "engine" or lets say governments for quite some time now. When Kibaki had problems in dealing with Moi in 2002, he sought the help of this man Tinga who fixed some areas that needed tightening. When the election results were announced, NARC led by Kibaki won and formed the government. In 2008 , once again Kibaki who had been re-elected by the "Tharaka Nithi" republic had nowhe...

ATWOLI SHOULD BE OUR NEXT STOP. We are living in a world where the old no longer care about the young. They only care about their interests and their own families. That's what I thought when I saw COTU Sec.Gen Francis Atwoli bashing Gen Zs for organizing protests. According to this fossil, key decisions concerning the country should be made by the old who are 5 years away from meeting Israel, the Angel of Death. This is an advice coming from an old man who has been in the government since the Moi era. He has mastered the appeasement tactics to perfection. This bootlicker knows when to attack and when to retreat. He was one of the people who were lying to Raila that he was going to defeat Ruto in the 2022 general elections. When RAO lost his bid, Atwoli switched allegiance to the man he termed as a dictator because he knew that his grace period was in denger. He was now urging people to accept and move on. He has continued to boast to us how he enjoys luxurious life by telling us h...

LET'S NOT BE EMOTIONAL FOR A MOMENT. The recent discovery of nearly decomposed bodies in Kware area in Mukuru is something that should be carefully investigated before opportunists start involving themselves in it. The bodies were cut into pieces and then put in identical sacks and thrown into the dump site. According to the investigations , most of the victims are women. What is intriguing about this case is that the crime scene is just a kilometer away from a police station.  The timing of the discovery is also very key to us. It comes at time when people who were were killed allegedly by the police during protests are also being discovered eg the likes of Denzel Otieno.  Is it a coincidence that when the president and the opposition chief called for dialogue is when these bodies were discovered ? There are people who are committed to ensuring that President Ruto does not enjoy the peace of being the president. The intentions of the perpetrators are very clear, pin t...

WANAPANGA KUTUMALIZA😭😭   The dissolution of the cabinet has sparked a lot of emotions in the country. There are those who are celebrating the move by saying that the president listens while others are in the dreamland by praising the Gen Zs. Now let's just say that Raila has already joined the government and blatant looting will be witnessed in the next three years. The dissolution gives way to formation of NADCO government, that does not care about the common mwananchi. As usual, Raila has gained while Kenya has lost. Those in oversight roles will be quelled by the opposition since the likes of Joho are likely to join the government. If the dissolution is about the people, I support it because we've seen how power corrupts minds. The likes of Moses Kuria thought that they will be in power forever. This is a warning to future leaders that anything could happen. If Ruto is serious, let him order for lifestyle audits of the outgoing officials by comparing their wealth when they...

MARRIAGE AND CHURCH: WHEN THE TWO COLLIDE. Marriage and church seem to have some differences that no one talks about.  In the recent years, stories of mchungaji "eating" mwanakondoo have been rampant. Recently, a soldier beat up mchungaji who later succumbed to injuries after he caught him pants down with his wife. Women are mostly the victims since male mwanakondoo would just "surrender" under the temptations of a female Natasha. The root of the enmity between marriage and and the church could be traced back to the women who started worshipping their pastors. You would hear some saying " hiyo kikombe na sahani ni ya pastor" or "hii bedroom itakua ya pastor". The moment we allowed this differential treatment for pastors in our homes is the day we lost our marriage. Nowadays pastors have more powers than husbands. A pastor can summon your wife at midnight and she will go. If you try to complain you will be told "wewe uko na laana". Mod...

RAILA HAS DONE ENOUGH. There was uproar in the country when Raila Odinga proposed that the country needed dialogue to solve the issues that pushed youths into the streets. This prompted Gen Zs to label him Selfish and some dirty names. What I want to tell them is that there has never been a politician in history of Kenya who sacrificed his personal interests for the well being of Kenya.  It's funny how kids born seven years after Saba Saba think that they can be freedom fighters. On Raila's side, he has demonstrated his selflessness in many ways.  In 2002, he joined Kibaki in ensuring that the Moi regime came to an end . After NARC won the election, it's claimed that Kibaki wanted to appoint Raila as his deputy instead of Kijana Wamalwa. Kibaki felt that Tinga had played a big role in his victory. Raila refused the offer In 2008 , we all know who won the elections. The country was then plunged into a political crisis and lives were lost. If Raila had listened to the adv...

WHO WILL SAVE THE DYING RADIO ?   Radio is dying a slow death and stakeholders in the industry should either change or perish. Over the last ten years we've seen change in the media industry especially in radio. Shows are no longer captivating as before and the execution is poor. Only a few number of practitioners have been able to adapt to change. The emergence of podcast and music apps such as Spotify and boomplay has dealt a big blow to the once crucial industry. I remember growing up listening to Q Fm afternoon show which was hosted by The late Rhino Kukuni. The show was about the Caribbean vibes and this made me love the station basically because I would find the best music there.  Kiss 100 was also my favorite because they would play the best hit songs that everybody could sing along. Now this is not the case, stations that based their content around music are now struggling. If I want to listen to new songs I would rather go to Spotify and search them instead of waiting...
