SPORTS SHOULD BE USED TO PROMOTE PEACE.


 The world is at war. Each continent is experiencing bloodshed. In Asia, Israel is really trying hard to wipe out the Palestinians from in Gaza. In Europe, we really don't understand what is really going on between Russia and Ukraine but there is war. 

In South America, Venezuelans have had enough with Nicolas Maduro and are now rebelling. In North America, Haiti is burning as gangs have occupied major facilities in the war torn nation. In Africa, people are losing their lives in DR Congo. Blood is everywhere.


What really bothers me is that no one really cares about people dying,but rather what they might get in the conflict.


My point is why must have sports at the times of war ? We have always said that sports and music are universal language and everybody understands it.


The Olympic games are going on in Paris, France and almost all the countries in the world are participating. Instead of using the opening ceremony to advocate for peace, they used the platform to promote homosexuality. .


What if all the funds used in organizing the competition are used to construct better homes for those affected by war all over the world ?


Have you ever imagined the impact of the sportsmen in other people's lives ? What would happen if Messi or Ronaldo visited the warring countries as ambassadors of peace ?


Is it a must that we have the competition at this time when the world is bleeding ? Why don't we postpone the competition until every corner of the world enjoys peace ?


What bothers me that we have even allowed those responsible for the war to participate in the competition.


It's the hypocrisy of sports that really annoys me sometimes. When an athlete is faced with racial discrimination, we pretend to come together to fight against racism but when other countries speak truth we bash them. 

Recently we saw what happened to Argentine players who mocked France for having African players in their squad. The French FA threatened to sue them but what I know is that the blacks in France are there as a result of war , mostly in which France was responsible.


When George Floyd was killed by the police officer in America, football teams pretended to care because they feared facing backlash from black supporters.


Even people affiliated with the Rainbow Coalition have been supported despite being against nature, why can't we also boycott competitions until everything settles . 


The powerful nations only care about oil. They are now planning to invade Venezuela because it has oil. Their support always leads to more harm.


I really like Lucky Dube and Peter Tosh who both refused to perform in Israel due to its involvement in the war with Palestine. Sports should also follow suit.


Let's use sports to promote peace instead of only favoring the monetary gains.


It doesn't help when I celebrate Faith Kipyegon for breaking another world record while at the same time in Congo people are being massacred.


I really want to see the repeat of what happened in Germany when soldiers downed their weapons to watch Pele play. This showed the power of sports.

It would have been better if countries boycotted this Olympic competition and push for peace.

 WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF GEN ZS. Yesterday's protests sent out warnings to the tribal kingpins who have been using tribes as a way to lead that come 2027 things will be different. And today was also  the same in Mombasa.  Let's wait for tomorrow where the ''finals'' will be held in Kisumu. The protests were led by the '' Young Kavirondo Tax Payers Association ''  popularly known as  Gen Zs who went out on the streets to protest against the proposed finance bill.  WHY ODM IS JOINING RUTO TO SURVIVE. First, ODM was a national party, with 8 tribal representatives from 8 now scrapped provinces. At coast, it was Najib Balala, now coast is gone, it doesn't belong to ODM. In central, it was Joseph Nyaga, central nologer thinks ODM. In Eastern, it was Charity Ngilu.
