WHAT IF WE WERE TO DESTROY TO REBUILD KENYA ?

Watching news in Kenya has become torturous and unbearable to me .

Imagine thinking of earning through PayPal and then the next thing you hear is that the government plans to tax those who earn through PayPal.

This usually raises a lot of "what if" questions in my mind.

Last week, we saw the battle of cash crops from different counties especially those from Mt Kenya and Coastal region.

                                              Muguka

Only the county of Nyandarua was left behind since we all know "cash crop za Nyandarua ni mawaru".

Muguka, miraa and mabuyu were involved in a tug of war to see who would bring in more money.

Miraa

Now, amongst the three "crops", which one
can fetch more money than the "spiritual herb ?"

                                                 Marijuana

What if the government also legalises bhang if the reason  Muguka can be sold is because it generates more money ?
If it's about the money, then hemp should also be legal.
Imagine Five sacks of bhang goes around 5 million shillings when sold.

The Finance Bill of 2024 will surely be passed by our "immortal" MPS despite most Kenyans rejecting it after it was subjected to public participation.

                                           Finance Bill

What if the government were just to start implementing the Bill without public participation since we seem to be wasting our time giving opinions on the bill when our views will not be considered at long last? The government should minimize time wastage.

They all say that democracy makes all the citizens feel like a part of any government. At the same time, democracy is the father of poverty . In Kenya, this is half true.
The only people we elect are MCAs only, the remaining ones are "selected" by the system to protect the interests of the few.

What if we try to save money for use by politicians to o campaign during elections by just allowing the system to "select" those who will lead us? This might save the electorate time and also avoid queueing for long periods.

When I listen to the likes of Ndindi Nyoro and Kimani Ichungwa talking, something tells me that politeness will ruin our nation one day.
The police officers also talk to innocent civilians as if they own the country.
What if we were to reject all forms of leadership and structures and go the Haiti way?
                                           Riots in Haiti

Enter into civil war, unsettle the system and the likes of Meg Whitman and ensure that the international community keeps of our matters. Let the people destroy whatever they can since " you have to destroy to rebuild".

Let people destroy whatever the few have built at the expense of many and everyone starts afresh, this democratic thing will ensure the poor remain poor.

This issue of tribalism, corruption and land was fuelled by the first regime led by the Late Former president Jommo Kenyatta, the period during which he took land belonging to other communities and political assassinations of powerful politicians from other tribes eg Tom Mboya, Pio Gama Pinto and other unlawful detentions.

What if Jaramogi Oginga Odinga accepted to form the government when he was offered to by the colonialists ?
Would we be facing the same challenges today?

Over the past 2 decades, Kenyans have been voting blindly since they believe in "Laira atasaidia".
They refuse to vote for him, but when things go south, they start asking where he is and what are his views. They use him as a benchmark in that when he raises concerns over certain issues.

                                             Kenyans waiting to vote

They are the same people who threaten their kids to sleep using the name "Laira". Raila has built his brand as a person who fights injustices and this has given some people "kiburi" when voting.
They always treat him as a plan B.
Now, what if Raila was never to exist in our political scene, would Kenyans vote better ?
