POWER BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE.

When the discussion about the ban of Muguka by the coastal region counties was hot, I thought that Muguka was just any  drug like "agweng".

One week later, I have been proven wrong. The use of Muguka can make someone be unsound mind.
This is evidenced by a proposal made by Mbeere North MP Geoffrey Ruku is to go by.
He plans to table a bill in parliament aiming to illegalize protests. The problem with our politicians is that they think that they will be forever in power.

According to him, those arrested for protesting are required to pay a fine of one hundred thousand shillings or serve a  one year jail term.
Article 37 of our constitution allows the people to protest and the only job where the police officers are needed to do is to protect properties.

Our constitution says that the sovereignty of the people shall prevail.
The Bill of Rights should never be touched but instead, we should implement chapter six of our constitution which will see three-quarters of the elected members disqualified from running for public office. Hon Rachael Nyamai said that youths were making content on the streets and did not know anything about the finance bill.

I was also shocked by the comments made by  CS for Tourism Dr Alfred Mutua, who said that the "finger" lost by the police officer shall be blamed on the youths.
When innocent civilians were being killed by the police officers, he never said anything. I think police officers' blood is thicker than ours.

Maybe, the "tuko njaa " song by Juliani is what made him angry since Juliani already "protested" with Lilian Nganga inside his house.
He has developed  a phobia of the word ''reject''

The fear is gone, they assimilated Raila into their government only for "many Railas" to emerge.
There have been claims by politicians affiliated to Ruto that the protests were not organic. Hon John Kiarie even went ahead and said that the photos circulating on social media were edited and do not belong to Kenya. I wonder if the finger lost by the police officer was ''deleted'' during the editing process of the photos.
When we have such leaders , we cannot expect change. The protests were being covered lived by all media houses and sentiments like those sometimes makes us question the integrity of these guys.

The likes of Sylvanos Osoro, whom we elected because of his ''humble background'' went live on TV and said that how do expect roads and electricity if we don't pay taxes.
Now imagine that our projected expenditure is equivalent to that of Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania combined. Together, these countries have an estimated population of one hundred and twenty million while Kenya has an estimated population of fifty four million people.

The main reason for protests is lack of accountable of the revenue collected and the blame game of '' Uhuru borrowed a lot of money''.
Ruto should be reminded that almost eight million Kenyans did not bother to vote. He was just partly ''selected'' hence he needs to listen more or he will face a major upset come 2027. We saw the protests were led by youths, who takes up 40% of the Kenyan population of registered voters..
Politicians are just well dressed beggars, they should give power to the people.
