CAR VS BREAD , THE RICH VS THE POOR.

The highly contested Finance Bill of 2024 will pass without any hiccups.

The way this proposal is strategically positioned, it has to pass.

First of all, we have this conversation on whether to tax out motor vehicles or bread. Hustlers vs dynasties at play.

So here , what the Mps will do is to chose one thing and let the government take one.

National Budget Committee Chair, Hon Ndindi Nyoro

The proposed 16% VAT increment on bread is a conversation that we need to have. When an Mp comes and tells us that it's because we need to regulate the sugar levels to avoid diabetes or because it's the rich that consume bread since the poor don't have enough money to buy one is something to laugh about.

On the matter concerns taxing vehicles, I watched the expert explain why the government wants to impose tax on cars and then nikakumbuka we usually say "watu si wajinga" , aki "Kuna wengine wajinga".

An expert explaining like a toddler.

Anyway, you will have to chose bread or cars.

At the end of the day, the government wins.

Secondly, we no longer have a strong opposition since "turudishe Raira Bondo" . The elected ''Mpigs'' no longer care about us, "kila mtu ajipange".

The majority party in parliament is controlled by the president. It's either you support the government's agenda or be "punished".

The Senate only has 16 members who have the interest of the people at heart, so tumekubali tumekataa , the bill must be passed.

Hasola atawale !
