FOOTBALL IS LOSING THE TASTE. The days when football used to produce superstars is over . When we were growing up, we used to idolize a lot of players. Defenders wanted to be like Cafu, Ferdinand and Roberto Carlos. Those who wanted to play in the middle wanted to be like Scholes, Gerrard,Pirlo, Iniesta and Xavi. Strikers were the real deal. Players like Drogba, Del Pierro, Torres, Etoo and Ronaldinho were every striker's dream. We had real deal players not the modern day influencers. Football is now a boring sport. All we see is rich men running around and doing nothing. European Championship is ongoing but the hype that used to be there has dissappeared. Comparing the superstars of the early 2000s and now is totally different.  We had the likes of Ronaldo Nazario, Kaka , Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Rooney, Beckham and many others. The current stars are just athletes. As long as a player can run faster than the other then he is considered great. Players like Mbappe depend solely on

AIRTEL; IT'S NOW OR NEVER What the fvck is wrong with Airtel's marketing department  ? These guys have the best services and yet they're happy to play second fiddle to Safaricom. The MAIN reason why Safaricom is relevant to many is because of Mpesa , when it comes to talk time and bundles, they are way more behind Airtel. For the past decade Safaricom had always been marred with scandals especially from Activists. I remember NASA contested the 2017 elections by stating that Safaricom colluded with IEBC to defraud them of their victory. Now we are in 2024 and the same Telco is being accused of providing information of social media influencers to the police. Though they have come out and denied the allegations, what happened when the youths stormed the parliament confirmed these accusations. The internet went off, but the CEO came out to clarify saying that there was a problem with under sea cables . What a coincidence ? Global Internet Monitor denied these lies, saying that

WE SHOULD KNOW WHEN TO STOP.   After a successful journey to the Parliament, Gen Zs have shown us that they mean business. The message was well received by the president who later came out and rejected the Finance Bill. There have been those who have been pushing the Gen Zs to also occupy the State House. I think we've lost enough lives and we need to sit back and see what the government plans to do  with the bill. We understand that if the president refuses to sign the bill within 21 days it becomes a law. As a champion of democracy, I would urge the youths to be careful and not be used by selfish leaders. Cracks have already emerged as some youths are already being accused of being traitors. The likes of Khalif Kairo and Hanifa have been branded traitors because they advised people not to go to State House since it is a restriction area. Being leaderless is a good thing because the government doesn't know who to go to when they want to negotiate for truce. We should n

THE KENYAN CONVERSATION.                          Kenya is a country under siege. We are at a point where anything small could lead us into civil war. Although the President refused to sign the Finance Bill 2024, things are not great. He made threats to County governments saying that there will be a need to reduce the money allocated to them.  Demanding for our rights has now become a crime  in a country where we usually brag about democracy. It's sad how the person who promised to protect the constitution has gone back on his word. Protests against the Finance Bill are not against paying taxes, we are pushing for accountability of the taxes we pay and loans borrowed by the government. In recent times we've seen how the government wastes money on misguided priorities while key services are not being funded properly. There are many tactful ways to stop these protests without anybody losing out. The President should reduce the State House Budget by 60% and the funds to go to the

WE HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO. After what happened yesterday, I came to realize that we have to sort out some few things as we even push for the #RejectFinanceBill Scores of people were shot by the police after the protestors managed to enter the parliament. Most of them just wanted to know where Papa Wa Roma sits , only to be shot. Now, we have to accept that this bill is being pushed by the IMF and the US, since they have not uttered a single word even after the sister to Barrack Obama was "fed" the freedom pill. IMF never solves problem, they are the problem. Why is it that the US is more concerned about Kenya sending police officers to Haiti than ensuring that democracy is upheld here ? So in retaliation on that, Meg Whitman should be recalled by US with immediate effect. Kenya cannot afford to have such a hypocrite as the ambassador here. Their president who cannot differentiate "Kairo" and his boxers, so they want us to feel the shame. Secondly, our "goose cha

GOD "CHOSE" RUTO TO TEACH US. They say that in every generation, there is that one awakening switch, and I think it's just right now in Kenya. I remember the late Pan Africanist Muammar Gaddafi once said that a ruler who uses religious basis cannot be advised. I have now come to believe the sentiments if whatever that's happening in Kenya is something to go by. William Ruto during his campaign promised Kenyans that in his rule there will be freedom of press, but after his "self validation" journey was threatened by 18 year olds,he went back on his word. He promised that the police force shall not be used for political motives but we saw how young people were being shot just for ''visiting'' the parliament's cafeteria. There are fears that the KDF killed dozens of youths in Githurai. The OB from Githurai detailed that over 74o rounds  of ammunition were used. If Uhuru had solved the swearing in of Raila with bullets, where would this countr

STOP GASS-LIGHTING US. The reverse psychology that's being played by the government officials is not fun at all. First, they went on record by saying that whoever threatened to call for protests was doing donkey work. Now they are the ones praising the young citizens. John Kiarie who said that he had expertise in graphics came out to apologize, saying that his utterances in parliament were unnecessary. Well, what else do you expect from a comedian ? On Sunday William Ruto commended the youths for standing up for their rights, praising them for their courage. Oscar Sudi and Murkomen are also reading from the same script. They talk rubbish first and then praise us for being "baddies". What I want to say is that we should not be swayed by those small praises that wish to create a picture of the government conceding. Let's go hard. Small praise means nothing if the bill passes and as youths, we don't demand any apology from anyone. We cannot be praised only to be kidn

THANKS TO KICD, GEN ZS CAME PREPARED Ladies and gentlemen, let's put together our hands and clap for Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) for choosing the best set of books for our G.O.A.T generation, Generation Z. Through this, they ensured we are prepared for everything happening now. In Betrayal in the City, they saw how governments dealt with harmless protesters. Adika was killed in peaceful protests, which is the same thing that happened to Rex last week.  We saw Oscar Sudi in the form of Mulili, a guy who can't speak proper English and was elected because of tribalism. He is the "unofficial" advisor to the president. He thinks after talking. They saw Tumbo in the same book, and now Sakaja is fitting in perfectly for the role. Someone who bought academic certificates and acquired properties fraudulently. They also learnt about Boss, the President of Kafira who never listened to the pleas of the people and resorted to threats and illegal arrests to t

''WE WARNED YOU'' Who said that Gen Zs were here to joke? Who said that Gen Zs were hired by politicians to protest against the finance bill? Who said that the photos on social media were lifted from other countries and edited ? Shame on you. After the Finance Bill passed the Second reading stage, those who voted for the Bill thought that "we as Gen Zs" were joking. Now they are facing the wrath of angry youths who are not politically or religiously affiliated to anyone. Bondo area MP Gideon Ochanda thought that the warning given by the people was just a joke. He defied the orders and now he is restless. The youths stormed his offices, with a mock casket and vandalized things. And as if it was not enough, they went ahead and threatened to burn his home. John Kiarie, who rose to power by "laughing" at JJ Kamotho during his ''comedy days'' said that the photos on the internet were not real since he has experience in graphics.
